A word of warning to those would-be hackers out there, Valve is keeping a watchful eye on who is not playing fair. In a recent post at Slashdot, Valve is said to have already disabled 20,000 Steam accounts and that number is, I’m sure, to rise.

Half-Life 2 Released… But
But, I don’t have a copy yet. I have to wait until I get my other gift card from MyPoints, that I haven’t even ordered yet. I should have enough points pending to get it, I just have to wait until they clear and then I can order it. Such a bummer to have to wait, but I don’t really have a lot of extra time to be playing the game anyway. I hope to be able to grab it within the next couple of weeks. I think Valve’s authentication servers shouldn’t be too bogged down by then.

A Random Act of Gaming
Ok, how much of a dork am I? I periodically have get togethers with my friends and play PC Games. Well we have a “Game Night” coming up, so I decided to through a website together for it…
And A Random Act of Gaming was born…
Feel free to drop in and check out the forums. Maybe I can get a little community going. Who knows?
Anyway, I just wanted to alert everyone to my severe geekness. Thanks for listening.
Half Life 2 Release Candidate
The Half Life 2 Release Candidate was sent off to Vivendi Universal for approval. This means it should be going gold within a couple of weeks.
Gabe Newell confirmed today on our forum, that the Half-Life 2 release candidate was handed over to Vivendi Universal 15th of September. Vivendi Universal would still have to approve this release candidate, which could take several weeks. When the release candidate(s) are approved, an gold announcement should follow.
This is totatlly exciting.
DOOM³
So it looks like I’m going to be picking up DOOM³ tonight barring any budget problems. Its been a while since I’ve bought a new game, but I think this one may be worth it. Of course, I also plan on buying Half-Life 2 if it ever decides to hit shelves. So this could be an expensive month, thank goodness for gift cards.
If I pick up the game, I’ll hopefully get some kindof review up here soon. That’s if I can pull myself away from the game to type anything.
Excellent Time Wasting Game
This is a great little time wasting game. I’m not sure if I’ll get any work done the rest of the day now.
Update: I just did my best ever: 5015 pts. and 7 in a row

Game Decisions
I’m trying to figure out what game to play at my LAN Party on the 31st. I haven’t played anything in a while so I’m not really sure what is the latest cool thing. I think these may be candidates:
Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising
Battlefield: Vietnam
More to come…
Screenshots
As promised… I played Call Of Duty. I took a couple screenshots so I’ll post em here. Overall, it was fun. It was definitely more scripted then others though. However, I do see the potential for some kickass multiplayer action.
