I just got done reading an article about how Peter Jackson has just been hired to produce the movie Halo which is based on Microsoft’s extremely popular game of the same name. In that same article I found out that another movie, Doom, is being released later this year. That got us thinking here in the office. Has there ever been a Movie based on a Video game that was GOOD? What are your thoughts on this? Below, I’ve compiled a list of movies based on games, let me know if I’m missing any. I’m struggling to find any that were great to watch.

… to flush the stinkin toilet when you are done?
I swear as a Man, I am embarassed at how lazy some guys are. When I go to the bathroom, is it too much to ask to be looking at clean water when I “step up to the plate?”
Sorry if this topic is a little gross, but I’m tired of sharing a bathroom with apes. I only hope that it isn’t the guys in my office. I’m sure it must be those from ODOR. If you work with me, you know who I’m referring to.

I’ve been patiently waiting all day for my new hard drive carrier assemblies to arrive for our new Dell server. Finally, I called Dell and asked where they were and they cheerfully tell me that they will be here on Monday.

“I payed for Overnight delivery,” I tell the guy. He proceeds to tell me that they put me down for 2 day. Needless to say I’m not very happy. But I complained enough to get my $16 bucks back.

I’m thinking about doing some WordPress hosting. I haven’t discussed this with my partners yet, but I think it would be a good way to get our name (SliverNet) out there and some traffic flowing through our server. I’ve done a little bit of looking and it looks like the way to do it is charge little and rely on lots of customers. I’m not sure how this will work, but I think it’s worth looking into. If we offered some sort of cheap Blog Hosting, do you think people would buy it? I think they just might.

Why is it that Doctor’s offices are the only place where the employees get to park up front and the customer parks way in the back? Is it someone’s sick humor playing a trick on everyone?
Just thought I would throw that out there and see if anyone has any thoughts on that. I just think it is plain wrong.

It is amazing to me what some people pay for when it comes to websites. For those of you who don’t know, I’m trying to start a web hosting and design business, SliverNet: Web Hosting and Design. We’ve (we being, my partners and I) have been talking with potential customers and finding out what their needs are and seeing what they already pay for, and I am just amazed at the shody work some people pay for. But of course, I can’t just come out and tell these potential customers, “You are paying for that”, because I may offend them. But there are many situations where I would like to. I’d throw up some examples here, but I don’t think that would be ethical. But, some types of things I am seeing are: FRAMES, cheesy color schemes, IE ONLY SUPPORT, and overall just really bad layouts and design. I’m hoping we can convince some of these people to, if not use our services, at least fire who is doing their work now.
We’ll see how it goes.

Like Michael Hanscom, I am somewhat of the belief now that it is better to buy a new printer then buy replacement ink. Is anyone else starting to come to this conclusion as well???

Today has been pretty crummy. Our server at work has been going up and down. Unfortunately, I am the one who is supposed to fix it and I don’t know how. Right now it is up…. we’ll see how long….
