Cingular will be sold under name of AT&T

Apparently I’m going to be an AT&T customer once again. Looks like Cingular is going to be re-branded as AT&T after the merger with SBC. Personally I liked the Cingular name better, but I can see their point, AT&T is a much more recognizable name than Cingular.

I know.. you’re probably thinking this has nothing to do with Technology, but none-the-less, here it is. Terrell Owens will not be playing with the Eagles the rest of the NFL season. Not to say this punk didn’t deserve it, but this is my starting receiver on my Fantasy Football team. GAAAHHHH!

NVidia is coming out with a more price-conscious version of their popular 6800GT video card. The 6800GS promises GT performance but at a $30-$50 lower price. Personally for me, $250 is still too much to pay for a video card. But that may just be the cheap side of me talking. I would like to see big performance in the sub-$150 range. Then I might be able to convince myself to upgrade.

Firefox Reportedly Breaks 10% Barrier Worldwide

According to OneStat, Firefox is on 10% of desktops worldwide. This is a big accomplishment for the Mozilla Foundation and is moves them one step closer to finishing off Internet Explorer.

Dell tightens belt

Dell has finally realized that free shipping of their low-end systems costs them money.

Shipping costs amount to $99 or more for three to five-day ground delivery, according to Dell’s Web site, but Davis said free shipping is “very common” because of its popularity among customers.

When you are talking about a system that is less than $500 to begin with, expecting Dell to eat $99 is ludicrous.
