I signed on to AIM today and got a message from AOL saying they had added a new group to my buddy list for AIM bots and had added 2 bots for me. Thanks AOL, but if I wanted them I could have added them myself.
Luckily they were able to be deleted just about as fast as they were added. But it would have been nice to be asked about this first.
I noticed the same type of malicious activity myself this morning. Bad AOL, bad. And to think they did it even though I am using Trillian as my client. How intrusive.
