1-hour Pizza!Pizza!

February 2nd, 2005

So, a Little Caesar’s opened in Keizer on Monday and I think everyone in Keizer was there Tuesday night. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Little Caesar’s, its a “to go” pizza joint. Basically they specialize in quick, cheap pizza. The weird thing about it is, it’s good pizza. (At least in my opinion)

Salem, my home town, had a couple of these about 10-12 years ago back in their “heyday” of “Pizza!Pizza!”. You used to get these two large, square pizzas in a long, paper wrapped container. But then they all closed down and the only one I knew that still existed was located in Monmouth, Oregon.

Well now they are back and I was quite excited. So, I decided to get some on my way home Tuesday night. I think everyone in Keizer was thinking the same thing because there was a line out the door and at least 20 people inside waiting for their order.

So I basically waited for almost an hour for this “quick”, cheap pizza. Don’t get me wrong, it was dang good, but I think I’ll be letting things settle down for a few weeks before I head back there.

I know what you mean– I always thought Little Caesars was some of the best pizza around, despite appearances to the contrary. We have one in Bend here that has $5 cheese or pepperoni pizzas that you can just stop in and pick up– pretty handy.

Yeah they have those here also. But they were so backed up that the “Hot-n-Ready” pizzas, were taking 30-45 minutes also.
