Weekly FreeFlatScreen plug

I still need at least 5 more people to sign up to receive their Free Flat Screen from FreeFlatScreens.com. Its really easy and relatively cheap and the reward is great. Isn’t it worth a couple bucks to get a FREE flat screen. I think it is.

My offer still stands, as well. Any of those who help me get my Free Flat Screen, will get my help to get theirs.

P.S. — Those of you who have signed up, I thank you. But, remember, you need to complete one of the offers for it to count.

TeamSpeak up and running

Well I’ve set up a TeamSpeak server so I can more easily communicate while I am dropping some artillery on my opponents. Setup was very simple and it works great. If you haven’t tried TeamSpeak out yet, I highly recommend you do. It is a great tool for voice-communication over the web.

Go download the client and then connect to my server. You can get details on how over at A Random Act of Gaming, which is my personal gaming site. Just register and then browse the forums for info on my TeamSpeak server.

RSS is now Burned

My RSS feed is now being massaged through FeedBurner. For those of you who already subscribe (if there is anyone) nothing will change for you, but any newcomer will be getting my FeedBurner RSS. What does this mean? Well basically with FeedBurner I can keep track of who views my feed, plus they have a cool way of integrating links from my newly activated ClipBlog from Bloglines. So we’ll see if this thing works out. The only drawback that I see so far is that my RSS goes through a third party now, but I’m not sure that it matters much.

Video Card Kaput!

Well I got into work today and booted up my machine only to discover my video freaking out on me… then the screen went black. I could only think to myself… “Boy, this can’t be good.” I shut down my machine (by “shut down, I mean unplugged) and cracked open the case. I found that the fan on my video card was frozen solid. Crap!

So, right now I am writing this on my backup video card which is only allowing me to use one monitor at 1024X768. Let me tell you, this sucks. You may think I’m spoiled, but when you’re used to two monitors at 1280X960, this tends to be a drastic reduction in productivity.

So I talked it over with my boss and he is letting me get another video card. In fact, he asked me to get two because he want’s to have the dual-monitor option also, because, he agrees, it is worth it. So, thanks to David (my boss), I should be back in working order in a couple of days. For now I guess I’ll just drudge along on this old thing. Ughh!
