FreeFlatScreens and FreeIPods

October 26th, 2004

Yeah, so I’m selling my soul to the devil. I want my free stuff. I’ve had some participation in regards to FreeFlatScreens, but we’re not quite there yet. So if you want a FreeFlatScreen, just sign up and complete an offer and get 8 others to do the same. For your convenience, iI placed a link on the right in my “Quick Links” section.

Along those lines, I’ve also signed up at FreeIPods.com. Heck if I’m going to have a FreeFlatScreen, I may as well have a FreeIPod to go along with it. This deal is basically the same as FreeFlatScreens, but you only need to have 5 others sign up as well. So your chances of getting your FreeIPod are that much greater.

So what are you waiting for. Get your FreeFlatScreen and FreeIPod now!

Hunter’s Surgery

October 22nd, 2004

My little guy had to have surgery this moring to fix his left foot. It was turning in because of a tight tendon. So this morning, like the brave little soldier he is, he went under the knife. The good thing was that the procedure lasted only 25 mins. But never-the-less, my wife and I were both very worried for him (my wife more so than I). I am happy to report that he did great and is recovering well. I’ll let you know how the healing process goes. That’s all for now.

You know you’re living in 2004 when…..

October 21st, 2004

I got this in an email from my wife… I actually found it somewhat amusing.

You know you’re living in 2004 when…..

  1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
  2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.
  3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
  4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
  5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.
  6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.
  7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial “9″ to get an outside line.
  8. You’ve sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.
  9. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o’clock news.
  10. Your boss doesn’t have the ability to do your job.
  11. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.
  12. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
  13. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn’t have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
  14. You get up in the morning and go on-line before getting your coffee.
  15. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
  16. You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.
  17. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.
  18. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
  19. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list.
  20. AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Patient Parking

Why is it that Doctor’s offices are the only place where the employees get to park up front and the customer parks way in the back? Is it someone’s sick humor playing a trick on everyone?

Just thought I would throw that out there and see if anyone has any thoughts on that. I just think it is plain wrong.

Oh well… moving on.

This is kindof funny… a guy watching his new Toshiba flat screen TV was unknowingly sending out a distress signal which police and rescue workers responded to. Maybe the TV didn’t want the guy watching Lifetime anymore…

Google Desktop Search

Google released their beta version of their Desktop Search Tool today. I am currently indexing my computer as we speak. Who knows if this will be any good, but anything will beat the built in file search in Windows. I swear the searching that alreadys is in there could be improved by a two year old.
