Well I brought back my menu bar. It took a little work but I think it looks better than the original. You may notice that the Photolog and About options don’t take you anywhere yet, because neither one of those exist yet. I hope to get some sortof Photolog going to replace what used to be my Gallery, but I need to upgrade my PHP before I can use the software that I’m looking at using. For some reason, upgrading PHP makes me nervous. I’m afraid I’ll break something on my server since alot of my programs rely on PHP.
Anyone out there have experience with upgrading your PHP installation and can give me some advice?

Well… I spent a little time last night and this morning, redesigning my site again. Whatcha think? I expect I’ll be doing this whole redesign thing often until I come up with the “perfect” site.

Ok, I’m not generally one for gimicks, but this offer is good enough to give it a shot. Who wouldn’t want a new Flat Screen Monitor or TV?

The Half Life 2 Release Candidate was sent off to Vivendi Universal for approval. This means it should be going gold within a couple of weeks.
Gabe Newell confirmed today on our forum, that the Half-Life 2 release candidate was handed over to Vivendi Universal 15th of September. Vivendi Universal would still have to approve this release candidate, which could take several weeks. When the release candidate(s) are approved, an gold announcement should follow.
This is totatlly exciting.

Taking blogging for money one step further, Jeremy Wright over at Ensight.org has been offered a nice sum of money for his blog. Ensight receives thousands of visits a month (I’m sure it is even tens of thousands of visits), so obviously this make it very attractive to those companies looking to capitalize on traffic.
Jeremy has written some terrific articles and I’m sure if he goes through with the sale, he can make another blog just as successful. Hopefully he leaves a forwarding address

Well as you can tell, I did a little skinning work yesterday. I just did something quick, I don’t think I’m going to stick with it. I, more or less, just wanted to get something put up other than the default template that WordPress came with. I’m still trying to figure out what I am going to do for a template. I may just try out some ideas here to see what I like. So look for the template to change often for now.

Well, I’ve made the switch, at least temporarily. I still haven’t created a new look for this site yet, but I wanted to start using it for posting so I didn’t have to double post. My MovableType site is still accessible, but it is now located at http://mt.arandomact.com. So if, for whatever reason, I feel like going back, I can.
Anyway.. help me out and give me suggestions on a color scheme. But for now I’m going to get back to work that actually pays me money.

I just slapped in a new plugin to show the most recent comments. You may recognize the feature from my MovableType blog. However, the ease of putting this plugin into WordPress is awesome. (is that word still ok to use?)
Obviously I still haven’t skinned anything. I just haven’t found the time to go through colors and create some graphics. I could just dump over my styles from my MovableType blog, but I think I’m going to try to create something completely new. I just have to figure out what that is. Do any of you have an idea of a color scheme I can use? If so, I’d be interested in hearing it.
