Well I’ve hit a milestone in my blogging adventure. I’ve made it a whole year and my blog is still around. I’ve definitely gone through some times where I haven’t posted much and times where I’ve posted several times a day. But through it all I’ve finally come to this day where I can say that I’ve been blogging for a year. Not sure if that is a big deal or not, but for some reason I think it is.
I would like to thank those who actually put up with the drivel that I spew hear sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, or in a rare momemt, sometimes monthly. Here’s to another year of you putting up with me.

I finally have a GMail invite to give away. I’m not sure what triggered it. But a friend of mine signed up and he got 6 invites right away. So I’m wondering if they are just random or something. But anyway, now I finally have one to give away, but I’m not sure who to give it to. Do any of you want a GMail invite? Does anyone care anymore? Or has GMail already became a fad that faded?

I’ve been extremely busy at work lately so I’ve totatlly been slacking on my posting… Sorry about that. Hopefully I’ll get these projects done soon so I can get back to it.

I went camping this weekend, hence the lack of posts (not that I post all that much anyway). Boy was it hot…. not a day under 90 I don’t think. And when you are doing nothing buy sitting around, trying to relax, 90 will bake you. Never-the-less it was a fun trip. Only caught 1 fish (well caught 3, kept 1), not for lack of trying. I just couldn’t seem to get a bite.
Anyway I have lots to catch up on. So, I better get to it.

So in my quest to spend money, I bought a Soundblaster Audigy LS instead of purchasing DOOM³ like I previously said I was going to (here and here). I ended up just borrowing the game from my brother who has already finished it. So it looks like the next game I purchase will end up being Half-Life 2 instead.
Back to the Audigy…. what an awesome difference compared to my on-board sound card. I don’t know what the heck I have been waiting for. I should have replaced my sound card a long time ago. But that seems to be one of those items that you can always put off until later. Well later finally came for me and I am happy about that. Anyway, if you are still using your onboard sound, quickly run to your nearest Best Buy and pick up this card.

Ok.. I was just having some fun and made some t-shirts and put them in my CafePress shop. Check ‘em out. I know they’re silly and most people won’t understand the humor, but oh well, I’m a geek, what can I say.

Well, I went in to buy DOOM ³ last night at the friendly neighborhood Circuit City and they didn’t have it. So I asked, and they said they weren’t getting it till Friday. Why would they not get it till Friday if it was released on Tuesday??? Bastards!!
You may ask, “Why, if you hate that store so much, would you choose to purchase something there?”
Well, the only reason I went there is because I have a $25 gift card for CC that I got from MyPoints. (BTW, if you sign up for MyPoints, I get more points, so go ahead. My username that you will need is javaman301) So, unfortunately, I’m going to have to go back to that store again sooner than I would have hoped. This game better be worth it.

Here is a fun little game. I guess the goal is to try and walk without falling over. Its not as easy as it would seem.
Humor
So it looks like I’m going to be picking up DOOM³ tonight barring any budget problems. Its been a while since I’ve bought a new game, but I think this one may be worth it. Of course, I also plan on buying Half-Life 2 if it ever decides to hit shelves. So this could be an expensive month, thank goodness for gift cards.
If I pick up the game, I’ll hopefully get some kindof review up here soon. That’s if I can pull myself away from the game to type anything.
