The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team, known as CERT, issued a “vulnerability note” saying that computer users should not use the Internet Explorer browser because of security vulnerabilities that hackers can exploit to launch attacks on personal computers and corporate networks.

Lan Party Time
Looks like July 31st will be the next LAN party night around here. Not sure what game we are going to play though. Does anyone out there know of any GOOD new multiplayer-type games? I’d hate to play the same old thing again and again, but I’m not sure what is hot right now. Guess I’ll have to do some research.
Yahoo is at it again
Once again Yahoo is blocking the popular 3rd party IM client, Trillian. This seems to be a cycle that we go through a couple times a year; Yahoo blocks, Trillian patches, rinse, repeat. It seems Yahoo is the only hold out in IM inter-operability. At least that is my take on it. I wonder if they will ever give up, cause I know Trillian isn’t.

Looks like Jeremy over at Ensight is in the works of possibly putting together a blogging magazine called The Bloggist. This could make for some interesting reading. I’ll keep an eye on it.
