It appears that slashdot is reporting that the source code to Windows 2000 and NT has hit the net. Of course the article that slashdot mentions has been “slashdotted” so you won’t be able to read it for a little while (heck I haven’t even read it yet). But I felt this to be important enough that I would comment.
So I guess Windows is “Open Source” “open source” now, whether Microsoft likes it or not.
Um, I think you mean “open source”, which is very much different from “Open Source”.

My guess is that he meant “open sores,” which is another issue altogether.
Great – now windows is even more prone to attacks. Once the hackers get the code in their hands (not that they haven’t already) I think i’ll switch to my Linux Box.
