BreakingGrounds.com

My brother just started up a new site so I thought I would give him some promotion here. I’m not sure what the content will be, but I’m sure it will interest some of you. He is using PHP-Nuke, which is a content management system. It looks pretty good, I may have to install it at some point to mess around with it.

Anyway, check out Breakinggrounds.com. If you like what you see, register and let him know. If its not for you, thanks for visiting anyway.

By the way, the site is hosted by my new company, SliverNet – Web Hosting and Design. We’re just getting off the ground. The SliverNet site still has some work to be done but it is coming along. If you are interested in websites and need a host, let me know. Our online ordering is not quite in place yet, so just drop us an email.

Thanks for listening…. or reading :)

Informal Poll

So now that I have my own domain (http://www.arandomact.com) what should I do with it. So far I have this blog, but I feel as though I need more. I’m not sure what, so I am asking you guys what you think…. should I skip “more” all together and just make my blog my main site, or should I do something more with this. I’m not really sure what I am looking for as an answer. I just feel like I need to concentrate on rounding out this site with more stuff. Let me know what you think.

A New Home

Well I’ve finally moved my blog to its new permanent home. http://www.arandomact.com/blog is the new address, so if by chance you are one of the crazies ones that has me in their blogroll or bookmarked, then please adjust accordingly. I did set up a redirect on my old webserver, so the old address will still work for a little while. Now I get to look forward to making a bunch of changes in all of the directories I’ve submitted to. Oh well, change is fun right? Anyway, hopefully I’ll start being a little more active here. I know I must be boring most of you, but then again, I think there is only 3 or 4 of you out their anyway.

RIP Webmonkey

Webmonkey is no more. I remember using this site many years ago when I didn’t know anything about web design. It was a very helpful site for beginner type issues, but I must say for more current stuff that I have been doing, it didn’t help much. So I can say I’m not surprised it is gone.

Windows Source Code Leaked

It appears that slashdot is reporting that the source code to Windows 2000 and NT has hit the net. Of course the article that slashdot mentions has been “slashdotted” so you won’t be able to read it for a little while (heck I haven’t even read it yet). But I felt this to be important enough that I would comment.

So I guess Windows is “Open Source” “open source” now, whether Microsoft likes it or not.

Check another Blazer off the list

I woke up to some good news this morning. I found out that Rasheed Wallace was finally leaving Portland. All I have to say is, “don’t let the door hit you on the a$$”. We can successfully check another off the list in the Blazers fight to reduce its cancer.

  • Bonzi Wells
  • Rasheed Wallace
  • Damon Stoudamire
  • Ruben Patterson
  • this spot left open for whoever screws up
