I guess this is what you get when you go to Wal-Mart these days.

Slacking
I know I’ve been slacking lately in my posting… I just noticed this morning that I haven’t put anything up since Friday. Needless to say, if you’ve been following along, I’ve been fairly busy with my new son and all. Plus, I’ve been doing alot of work on the Web Hosting Business that I will be launching here in February. I’m going to be dumping a bunch on here over the next couple of days to catch up. Probably nothing to dense or meaningful, but we’ll see…..
That’s all for now.
MikeRoweSoft v. Microsoft
I found this great story over at Chaos Magnet this morning. I love to see the little guy take a stand against the big guy.

Introducing Hunter Joshua
Wanted to hurry up and introduce my new son to everyone. He was born at 7:08pm, Thursday, January 15, 2004. He weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 20″. Look forward to many pictures in the gallery.

Where’s My Checkbook?
It appears LaCie is offering a 1 terabyte external hard drive. They say
the LaCie Bigger Disk allows users to store nearly two years of continuous music and up to one month of non-stop MPEG-2 video.
That’s a lot of data. All of this and they still managed to offer it at a low low price of $1199.
New Gallery
Well I’m playing with a new MovableType plugin called PhotoGallery. So I’ve added a new menu to my menu-bar up top. Right now it doesn’t contain much since I’m just testing it out. But so far I think it looks like it will be usable. Now I just need to start getting some photos on here…
Microsoft Prolongs Hell
Well the day we all were waiting for has been pushed back. Microsoft was slated to end support for Windows 98 on this Friday, January 16, 2004. But, alas, that date has now been pushed back to June 30, 2006. That would make the ailing OS 8 years old. With everything changing in the world of computers daily, how can anyone justify having an OS that is 8 years old. Please, I am begging you, those who still use 98 or Me, let it DIE!

New Banner
Well, thanks to Jill, I now have a new banner. Its not radically different, but I like it. Feel free to comment. If you need a reminder this is the old banner.
Checking In
I haven’t written anything in a few days so I figured I better check in. Its two days till my wife’s due date so, needless to say, I’ve been getting pretty impatient. Our last two kids were both late so I totally expect the same here, but it would be nice if things were on time. I know my wife feels the same way.
Other stuff going on in my life……
I and a few others have decided to start our own Web Hosting company, so look forward to some shameless, self-promotion to be coming down the pipe. This blog will be moving to our servers eventually, but I will set up some redirects for those who may have linked to me. I’m in the process of designing our Company website and will post updates here to it for all to comment on. In fact, I have a (VERY) preliminary framework set up already. Feel free to let me know what you think. There aren’t any graphics yet and the color scheme is still negotiable. So, really, there isn’t much to see. It’s not even in it’s permanent home yet, since the servers have yet to be ordered. But I wanted to start putting it all together.
Anyway… enough babbling for now. When I come up with some more interesting stuff I’ll let you know.
Skoobie Closed
I know this breaks everyones heart, but Skoobie shut down so I removed it and went back to my standard search tool. Skoobie was an experiment, apparently a failed experiment. Oh well, no hair off my back I think I only made like $1.25 from it and now it looks like I won’t even get paid that. It’s not like I was trying to make money off this site. It was just a “why not” thing. Anyway…. moving on….
