Well found this over on Chris’ blog and figured I’d do the same. Here is a map of states that I’ve visited. Looking at this I realize… I need to get out more.

The Slacker in Me
Sorry I haven’t been posting a heck of a lot lately. I’ve been extremely side-tracked trying to get things ready to launch SliverNet (that’s my companys name) before February 15th. I’ve been doing alot of web design and learning alot as I go. I think we’ve (we being everyone in the company) come up with pretty good layout. Unfortunately I went for the easy way out and laid it out in tables. I’m going to go back through and get it hammered out in pure CSS eventually. But I needed to get it done… and it still isn’t quite done yet. So I may be here or there on my posting for a bit yet. But when I get everything going I should be able to get stuff with some more meat up here. But until then, I’ll probably just through some links up every once in a while and comment on some news. Anyway…. back to my labor….
Disney and Pixar call it quits
Apparently Disney doesn’t want to give Pixar what it deserves. If you ask me, Disney films alone, without the help of Pixar Studios, are going to suffer greatly. Not a good move on their part.
Quotes from SNL
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, ‘It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than to be selfish and worry about my liver.’

Sir Bill?
Things are getting a little out of hand when the Queen of England Knights a computer geek. Bill Gates will be awarded an honorary knighthood, can you believe that? So let me get this straight. You find a way to market someone elses idea and then stifle competition with it and you get knighted by the Queen. Hmmm, there’s a business strategy for you.

MikeRoweSoft Follow-up
In a follow-up to and early post about MikeRoweSoft, Mike Rowe has settled with Microsoft in a dispute over his domain name “MikeRoweSoft.com”. Get this, he took an XBox and a tour as settlement. I’m glad he kindof won, but I was hoping he would stick it a little harder to the man.

Faster PC Boot Times
Apparently someone is working on the problem of slow computer boots. I don’t know about you, but my Win2k machine takes forever to actually get going. This article talks about the technology being developed for Window’s Media Center applications, but hopefully they roll this type of stuff over to normal desktop computing…

Lego Mania
Here is a guy who has a lot of time on his hands. But nonetheless the results are cool.

Wal-Mart Incident Update
Earlier this week I reported about the damage done to my vehicle. Well, I just got in from the body shop and it looks like its going to cost about $1500 to repair. The good thing is, the adjuster was there when we were looking at it and cut a check on the spot. So my car will be getting fixed within the next couple of weeks. I still can’t believe someone hit me in the Wal-Mart parking lot, but at least everything is getting taken care of without too much trouble on my part.
