Finally, I went and signed my papers today to close on my house. Now I just have to wait for the keys. Hopefully I have those in my hands within a couple of days because I have people lined up to help me move on Saturday. It’s going to suck real bad if it doesn’t get to happen then. I’ve already called the cable, electricity, phone and gas companies so everything should be ready to go on Friday. So most likely this weekend I won’t be spending much time at all on the computer and I won’t have Internet service back until Monday so things will be down for a couple days. But I have nobody who reads this but me anyway so it won’t matter

Well… I just found this handy dandy tool here called Zempt that allows me to write my blogs while not online. So far I think it is a cool concept. We’ll see if it is all that I am waiting for. Any who…. back to work.

Finally… I now have Apache powering my web server. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. In fact the hardest part was getting this blog rolling again and obviously I have that working now.

Quick update on my house stuff… we should be closing this week and the Insurance thing is not yet resolved…. but I am optimistic. Hopefully we’ll be painting this weekend and then we can move in next weekend. Any who, going to go back to configuring my new site for football……

Haven’t written anything in a few days so I just thought I would check in. I’m going to be moving soon which is exciting. We should be able to close on our new house next week. That means we can start painting and I can start planning my next LAN party . Its been a while since I’ve had a good LAN party so Im kindof excited to have another one soon. Anyway, gotta check on this game Im installing. I know this is short. But too dang bad.

Well I believe I have been the victim of insurance fraud…. yee haw. Let me give you a little background. I’m in the process of buying a new house. In trying to find homeowners insurance for the new pad, I found out that someone filed a theft claim against my previous homeowner’s policy. Not knowing what the heck was going on I called my previous insurance company. Apparently, the lender that I had my previous mortgage with made a claim against MY insurance. They claim that items were missing from the house (BTW we gave the house back to the bank). My wife and I recall a conversation about a year ago with our prior mortgage company about the items in question. We told them that the items weren’t missing, we had them. We explained to them that the items in question were never a “part” of the house and that we purchased them seperately. Therefore we took them with us. Now a year later I find out that they filed a theft claim against my insurance.

Needless to say, I am pissed about it.

So far, I haven’t made much head way in the problem. I am currently waiting a week for the company who made the claim to dig my files out of their archives. I may still have some recourse, but right now I just don’t know. So, most likely, I will be unloading here for a while until this issue is resolved. Look forward to more rants and raves against the EVIL INSURANCE EMPIRE.

Whew!!!!!

Just got home from playing a couple hours of basketball. Can’t breathe too well, my legs are burning and my feet are numb. Boy…. what a great time. My shot was off most of the night, but what can you ask for not having played for several months if not years. I’ll have to see about making this a regular thing. I know, however, that is tough to do with a family at home who needs me. My wife is working hard, being pregnant and all, and my kids just started back at school. So it isn’t easy for me to leave them here alone when they haven’t seen me all day. But there are definitely times that I need to run around and get some exercise…. and boy do I need the exercise. A “desk job” is going to be the death of me… I need to start being more active.

But for now…. I go to bed.

Tis Labor Day today. So far I’ve been pretty lazy today, which is what this day is about right? Im sitting in anticipation of the BBQ later today. I should be leaving for it soon.

I just got done working on my car. I accomplished approximately nothing. What I really need to do is tear things apart and carefully put them back together so it all works…. but who has time for that. Besides I still have to drive it. Hopefully someday soon I can buy a third car so I can put my Mustang in the garage and give it the car that it needs. I noticed some more damage on it today. I fear it was in a major wreck in its past and it is suffering from cancer as well. This may end up being only a temporary member of my mustang family. Unbeknownst to my wife, I would love to have a whole corral of Mustangs. This would be cool .

Anyway… going to go wake up the wife and get going to the BBQ… can’t wait
